Bell’s Motor Lodge Motel is a small motel on Main Street in Spearfish, South Dakota. We have 30 guest rooms arranged in the classic “motor lodge” style where guest drive up to their ground floor room.
The motel is owned and operated by the family of Scott Stampe. We purchased the property in 2003 from Art and Velma Honeyman; as they retired from the motel business. We operate the motel with help from summertime employees.
The motel was originally built in 1955 as two motels. Harry O. Bell established the business and provided the family name still in use today.
We are in the final stages of providing the property a facelift. Scott has updated the exterior of the property; including a portion of the roof, siding, windows, and security lighting. We have updated most of the interior of the rooms including new carpet, bathroom linoleum and a few new fixtures.
Managing a motel includes a process of updating and improving every aspect of the business. This blog will highlight the process beginning with the blog’s birth in March, 2011.Bell’s Motor Lodge Motel 230 N. Main Street S Spearfish, SD 57783 (800) 880-2095 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
